"We had a lovely stay at Ardgowan. The house is fantastic and very well equipped." Macivor family - October 2018

"Ardgowan was a simply stunning property which was incredibly peaceful and pleasant throughout. Above all other places we have stayed in Scotland (and we have stayed at lots) this was by far at the top of the list!" Neil Bhojraz - October 2018

“We enjoyed a great week in this fabulous house.  We visited Floors Castle, Jedburgh Jail, Hurly Burly, Harestanes Country Park and Heatherslaw Light Railway to name a few.  All were great days out. The house has been so well equipped it makes the stay very comfortable and we will no doubt be back. Many thanks.” McTaggart family – October 2016

"Had a great week in this lovely house.  Visited local towns and Edinburgh via train.  Went to the zoo and had a great day.  Also went to Bamburgh beach - fabulous.  House is great and very comfortable.” Jeffrey family – August 2016

“The house and stay were extremely pleasant as always and we are already looking at return dates. With our love for the Roxburghe golf course, the house is ideal.” Pete Alston - July 2016

“We felt at home the minute we walked into the house. It is very comfortable with plenty of space downstairs to spread out. It must be one of the best equipped houses we have stayed in for a holiday - everything has been thought of making it a real home from home. It takes only a few minutes to drive into Kelso where there is a large supermarket and many shops. The house is well placed for exploring the Borders and has plenty of maps to help plan the day. The sunny garden is a great place for evening drinks on the patio.” Jane Hack - May 2016

“As a group of 3 friends we thought the house was beautiful, well maintained and equipped to a very high standard. We had a lovely walk along the river to Kelso and think the property is ideally situated for those wishing to get out and about.”  Parker group - October 2015

“Super accommodation.  Loved the garden and the large kitchen.  Had a fantastic time both North and South of the Border.  Highlight was boat trip around Bass Rock and Holy Island.  So much to do we will have to come back!” Noakes family - August 2015

“Had a great week here as a group which included 2 young children. Ardgowan's a beautiful house in a quiet spot; it provided everything we could have asked for and more. Annette was very attentive to our needs, and, speaking as parents, I think we would be hard-pushed to find another holiday home which includes a nursery with cot, toys, high-chair and stair-gates. There was even cutlery and plates for children! The fact that there were 3 bathrooms was particularly useful. The garden, however, was our highlight. Really enjoyed relaxing afternoons sitting in the sun and making use of the barbecue.” Callum Mitchell - July 2015

“I highly recommend Ardgowan. The house is stunning, has ample parking, fast wi-fi and all amenities. Moreover it is always immaculately clean and well presented.  It is superb value for money and is managed with skill, attention to detail and genuine warmth by its gracious owner.”  David Rhimes - June 2015

"Fantastic comfortable house in a great location.  Superb river walks, lovely shops and pubs nearby in Kelso.  The house had everything we needed and superbly well presented.  Thank you.  We will be back." Neilson family - May 2015

"House was beyond our expectations.  We've stayed in some fabulous places but this takes the gold position.  Location was brilliant for lots of varied walks, sightseeing and afternoon tea.  It was great to return "home", put on our jamas and cosy up with a glass of wine and a good film.  If we'd have won the lottery, we'd buy this place.  Thanks."
